You can cut any group of the following from your 18” X 22” Fat Quarter: 99 -- 2” squares  16 -- 4 1/2” squares 56 -- 2 1/2” squares  12 -- 5” squares 42 -- 3” squares  12 -- 5 1/2” squares 30 -- 3 1/2” squares  9 -- 6” squares 20 -- 4” squares  6 -- 6 1/2” squares Click here for "Estimated Yardage Chart For Squares" Homespun Fabric Washing Tips Also good for any 100 cotton, flannel, or homespun fabric Wash In Cool Water - Tips for washing:  To test your washing conditions, soak a small piece of fabric in a jar or bowl of cool water with a small amount of mild detergent added.  Place the wet fabric on a small piece of white cotton fabric. Observe whether any color transfers from the colored fabric to the white fabric.  If it does, you will want to wash the fabric again, rinse thoroughly, and repeat until the bleeding stop.
